Custom Restroom-Concession

No. 99194 | Concord, California

The Project

The city of Concord in collaboration with one of their local High Schools, needed two new buildings for a new school, multi-sport facility.  They required a restroom facility, a small concession room, and a separate large utility building for maintenance equipment, tools, and storage.  The buildings were to be placed adjacent to the existing gymnasium.  The gym was an off-white stucco with a unique teal colored trim.

The restroom/concession building needed to blend with the other facilities and be pleasing to the eye.  It needed to be durable, inviting, easy to clean and maintain, with commercial grade appurtenances able to withstand heavy and consistent usage.  The concession room had to meet all California and local Health Department codes for casual, pre-packaged food sales.

The Solution

Romtec loves the opportunity to tackle a custom design, especially matching up existing structures.  They designed a multi-user restroom facility with a small concession room, including a heavy duty roll-up window and stainless steel counter top.  Romtec provided a hot-water heater and hand wash sink for the concession area.

Romtec used stainless steel toilets and sinks to stand up to heavy traffic and last for a very long time.  Matching the stucco was easy, and the designers added a teal roof trim to pick up the second color from the gymnasium.  The end results were beyond expectations.  The three buildings flow together seamlessly, as if they were all built at the same time.  There is a very clean, sharp appearance to the buildings and they fulfill all the needs and requirements of the school, making sporting events more comfortable and enjoyable for the entire community.
