Romtec SST® waterless restrooms are supplied with 12″ diameter vent pipes for venting the underground vaults. Each vault has its own vent pipe.

The two-piece vent pipe extends to approximately 36″ above the highest point of the building roof. It is fastened to the vault fitting with supplied screws and supported by the roof frame where it passes through or alongside the roof. As required, the vent pipe is equipped with a rubber weather boot with a malleable stainless steel mounting flange to seal between the pipe and the roof.

The SST® ventilation system draws fresh air into the building and exhausts out the vent pipe above the building. Negative pressure at the top of the pipe, caused by air passing over the open pipe, causes a continuous flow of fresh air into the building.
